Board of Education of Alamosa School District No. Re-11j Resolution
The resolution addresses the need for voter approval regarding additional capital resources for school district capital projects and improvements. It authorizes the officers of the District to certify a ballot question to the County Clerk, asking voters to approve a debt increase of $30 million, with a maximum repayment cost of $58 million, and a tax increase of $2.5 million annually. The funds would be used for health, safety, security, and transportation upgrades, improvements to the learning environment at Ortega Middle School, updates to athletic and performing arts facilities, playground improvements, and critical updates at the high school. The resolution also appoints a designated election official and outlines procedures for incurring debt and levying taxes if the ballot question is approved.
