Clairton City School District Board of Directors Work Session
The board discussed and took action on various administrative and operational items. This included accepting staff resignations, ratifying paraprofessional appointments, acknowledging tenure for several employees, and approving medical leave requests. The board reviewed and moved to approve the first reading of several policies, including those related to academic standards, curriculum, health examinations, wellness, bullying, and school security. Additionally, the board approved an updated MOU with the Clairton City Police Department, a service agreement with Intermediate Units, and a letter of agreement for a school-health initiative with UPMC Children's Hospital. Business administration items included ratifying plumbing contracts, approving a master security services agreement, and consenting to property dispositions by the Tri-Cog Land Bank. Discussion also occurred regarding a STEM Coding MOU and upcoming field trip requests.
