Fire Resistant Joiner Bulkhead

Description: The Navy seeks a material or system that improves the fire resistance of shipboard joiner bulkheads and helps contain fires within compartments. The solution must limit increases in weight, width, and installation cost while meeting specified shock, fire, smoke, and toxicity requirements. Phase I calls for a feasible concept supported by small-scale testing, with initial prototype design specifications if the option is exercised.
